New apps [applications] have become a driving force in computer use over the last few years, especially with the popularity of Apple's iPod and IPad.  They are very exciting for musicians too.  But it seems they are not so well known in learning and teaching circles yet.

So I have started this site for all musicians, music teachers, music learners, music technologists, music researchers.... even music producers, musical instrument creators, virtual or live, ..... who want to know what's out there.  I hope it will grow and grow, since there seems no end to innovations.

The site is arranged by the kind of thing you might want to do with any of them, as shown in the left margin. The organisation is in terms of the "what" and the "how" of learning music.  The KNOWING page is about what musicians can get to know or know about. All the other pages from PERFORMING to  OTHER STUFF are about what musicians can can do with music. Teachers may like furtjher comments on learning in the special section: TEACHERS' CORNER.

Many pages after this one have their own separate FORUM for your comments and contributions to the contents of that page.  Some of the main pages in the left side menu have sub-pages that continue the same topic.

I'm also open to suggestions about the way the material has been arranged.  So the BLOG in the left margin is for your feedback on the site itself, i.e. how it has been constructed.  Of course you can also contact me personally by email.

For an overview of everything on this site, use the issuu link at the bottom.

I hope you enjoy using the site.

You will see the first page against a black background with arrows to scroll up/down or sideways. At the top, there is a small white image of two rectangles. Click on these to enlarge the page. Two new tiny white rectangles will appear for you to resize it again.  From here you can also download and/or print the contents of all the pages of this website.
